What Christina doesn’t use, though, is her eyesight.
Even though Neil H. is 26 years into his Enterprise career, one thing reigned loud and true since the day he started – an enduring interest to move abroad and take on new roles no matter the country, city or Operating Group.
Recently promoted to Vice President and General Manager of France, Neil has established himself as a proven leader with a keen ability to work across cultures with unwavering commitment to customer service and operational excellence.
We asked Neil to share his thoughts on the new role and his interesting career path.
Bridget’s 18-year Enterprise career has spanned five Groups, three time zones and two continents. She worked as a Branch Manager in the Chicago group and then took roles in South Florida, Seattle and San Francisco. In 2015 she made her biggest move yet, heading across the pond as General Manager in the Southeast England/London group.
Here’s the advice she’d give her younger self:

Today, she works in San Diego as Account Manager in Enterprise Fleet Management. It’s the latest stop in a journey that has carried her on an award-winning ride of domestic and international assignments, all in just eight years.
Pleasant surprises. Exceptional training and support. Laura T. has come to appreciate both these aspects of her everyday work environment as an Assistant Manager at the Enterprise home city branch in Móstoles, Spain.
Perhaps most surprising is the fact that she’s embraced a career in the car rental industry, after completing a degree in occupational therapy at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid. During her undergrad days, Laura worked part time for Enterprise at the airport. And somewhere along the way, she says, “Enterprise’s energy caught me!”

Two are helping implement the inaugural Management Training (MT) program in Spain, while one just became a part of it.
The most tenured of the trio is the fitness guru — Gerardo J., Branch Manager of the Chamartín train station in Madrid, Spain. He joined Enterprise’s International MT Program in 2013 and learned the ropes of the business in London knowing that he would return to Spain. Gerardo excelled and now is the first Branch Manager in the country who began his training outside of Spain.
What are your thoughts on our growth in Europe over the past few years?
Achieving growth starts with a great deal of hard work and a plan, especially in countries where we are starting from scratch and the Enterprise brand is unknown. At this point, each market or country is at a different level of maturity and evolution. In the U.K. for instance, we just celebrated 20 years, while in Spain and France we have owned the businesses for four years.
Many of our franchise countries joined the fold in 2015. Each one will have a different strategy for growth.
Simply mention the Management Training program to Céline R., and she has trouble containing her enthusiasm. “Oh my gosh, it changed my life,” she says.
It’s not really an exaggeration, notes the Assistant Manager of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car branch at Gare de Lyon in Paris, France. When Céline first learned about the MT program at a college job fair a couple of years ago, she’d never even heard of Enterprise before.
